Web design in Mississauga

Venue and hospitality work, where the site has to sell an evening rather than a product.

01 What we built here

Social Cue is a Mississauga sports bar, billiards hall and gaming venue. Three businesses in one room, and a website that had to make someone choose it for a Friday night.

Venues are a different problem to restaurants. Nobody is comparing menus, they are deciding what kind of evening they want, and the site has to answer that in about five seconds.

02 A city without a single high street

Mississauga is a set of centres rather than one downtown, which means search behaviour is unusually local. People search by their own neighbourhood, not by the city.

That is good news for a smaller business. Ranking in Streetsville or Port Credit is a far shorter queue than ranking for the whole city, and it brings the customers who will actually turn up.

03 Events are the other half

For a venue, the site is a calendar as much as a menu. What is on tonight, what is on Saturday, and can I book a table for eight.

That means the people running the venue need to update it themselves, on a phone, between shifts. If it takes a developer, it will not happen.

Straight answers

How much does a venue or restaurant website cost?

A typical site is $3,200 to $5,200. Bookings, events and ordering push it toward $4,200 to $8,500 depending on how much has to be automated.

Can our staff update the events themselves?

That is the point. Editable templates in the WordPress admin your team already recognises, and training before handover so nobody is waiting on us to change a Friday listing.

Do you handle the social and email side too?

Yes. Social Cue runs a weekly newsletter alongside the site. Email and SMS flows are $900 to $2,400 to set up, then $300 a month.
